The Suffolk Outlaws Country Music Club

The Suffolk Outlaws Country Music Club has been in existence for many years, it was renamed from The Spurs and Garters to The Suffolk Outlaws in July of 1987. Soon after it

outgrew its previous venue at Boxford Village Hall, when membership exceeded 100 it re-located to the much larger Delphi Social Club in Newton Road Sudbury during 1992.

Regular membership has varied over the years from as high as 220 in earlier years down to in excess of 150 currently membership stands at 160 although there is capacity for up to

200. Due to the warm friendly atmosphere the club attracts members of all ages.

The club in it’s present form is run by eight committee members, headed by one of the original founder members Bernie Mead as Chairman, the rest of the team consists of Vice

Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and 4 General Committee members.

The Committee welcomes members and visitors  to any of the scheduled club nights which are indicated on the website, whether you Line, Partner or are a

non dancer to come and dance, sit and listen or watch everyone enjoying the Music and atmosphere. There is a licensed bar and a raffle and membership draw is held on club nights.

Each year the Club nominates one or more Charities to donate funds to.

The Club generally runs fortnightly on alternate Friday nights from 7.45pm to 11.00pm. Membership is currently £5.00 a year renewable each January with an entrance fee of £5.00

for members and £6.00 for non members. The Club makes every effort to book the top country music artists on the circuit from many parts of the country each year for your
